Resonance String Orchestra’s BIG STRING DAY

Resonance String Orchestra is hosting a Big String Day in Castlemaine on Saturday 29 March 9am- 1pm at Castlemaine Secondary College.

Big String Day is open to students with established beginner skills to Grade 2 AMEB standard. (Established beginner skills are the ability to bow basic rhythms and use the first 3 fingers of the left hand.)

The morning of music and team-building games, whole orchestra sessions and instrument-based tutorials will be led by Resonance Co-Artistic Director Emma Wade, and Maryborough Education Performing Arts Coordinator Sarina Walter, while Co-Artistic Director Heather Cummins, tutors Sam Goble, Lizzy Welsh and Charlotte Ryssenbeek will also be taking tutorials, mentoring and ensure everyone has a great time!

Big String Day will finish with a short performance for families and a Q&A. Students can attend  Big String Day as a one-off experience, or join up for our year-long Apprenti Strings program after the event.
